JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Ensure production planning efforts take place in the right sequence to achieve required production plan dates and meet customer delivery requirements. Ensures Production process is performed on time.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures Production process is executed on a timely manner
    • Conversion of Production plan into Production labels
    • Segregate and prepare labels by Production Line
    • Issue and place Production labels in Production Floor by line/ block
    • Daily follow up on production labeling process
    • Reprint labels as required
    • Work with Engineering to maintain label data base accuracy
    • Follow up on daily Production line issues
    • Provide feedback to Production Scheduler for any Production Order issues (label related)
    • Document daily issues on OASR report, provide problem solving analysis to drive for continuous improvement.
  • Support Production Planner to plan machining or assembly orders to meet customer delivery on time
  • Ensures required production dates are met
  • Ensure efficiency/utilization of production equipment in order to maximize production cost
  • Support process for prototype and PPAP orders
  • Follow all safety and environment regulations
  • Participate in the daily Gemba meetings and provide feedback to the designated team
  • Drive for Production Order Fill Rate and assure production will meet the availability date for each Production orders
  • Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
  • The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members.
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).  

 

Knowledge:

  • ATP check for component shortages
  • Conversion of planned orders to production orders
  • Production order prioritization
  • Confirmation of production orders (Manual process for GO Live)
  • Analyze & correct COGI errors
  • Evaluation of PD prod orders and reschedule accordingly
  • Master data, material master
  • Production planning
  • Detailed scheduling
  • Drive and manage POFR
  • Maintain and CDPS

 

Experience:

  • 1-3 Year experience within manufacturing and production environments

 

Skills:

  • Demand Planning knowledge
  • MRP / ERP Knowledge (SAP)
  • Inventory Management Skills
  • Administration and material management     
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Capable to organize and prioritize activities
  • Use and management of Problem-Solving tools
  • PPAP and Engineering governance    Product knowledge       
  • Working IATF-16949 knowledge
  • Written / oral communications         
  • PC & software (computer skills) - MS Excel – Intermediate level
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish (Basic)

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Technical Degree preferred
