JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

 

 

This position is responsible to monitor, communicate, improve, and enforce the processes and usage of SAP Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Sales &

Distribution (SD), & Warehouse Management (WM) in the company’s manufacturing

processes.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide on-site and remote plant SAP training support to ensure material planning standardization is attained through MM, PP, SD, & WM SAP modules.
  • Provide supplier ASN troubleshooting skills.
  • Develop SAP governance tools to utilize alignment with manufacturing methods.
  • Identify and partner with SAP Module Leads to improve material planning processes through key user forums.
  • Coordinate new process integration with SAP Module Leads.
  • Provide coverage for SAP Module Leads, as required.
  • Analyze and present data extracted from various reports to ensure material parameters are in alignment with SAP requirements.
  • Assume lead role in correcting inconsistencies within SAP master data.
  • Lead material planner SAP audits.
  • Troubleshoot key system process issues with the plant key users.
  • Ensure aged SAP data is cleansed for optimal operation.
  • Possess the ability to summarize, report, and manage SAP process accuracy at a plant level.
  • Manage and seek improvements to minimize inventory levels, prevent premium freight spend, harmonize demand planning accuracies, and improve customer day of need delivery for all Bendix locations.

 

 

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of ERP flow and understanding relating to business processes.
  • Manufacturing understanding and knowledge and related systems activities.
  • Excellent knowledge in SAP materials processes and Supply Chain procedures.

 

Experience:

Lead 2, SAP Business

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of SAP MM, PP, SD &/or WM modules and Supply

Chain Management required.

  • 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong systems and data management skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Possesses the skills to extract data from system queries to create management reports.

 

 

Education:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Green Belt certification is a plus.

 

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Intra-plant could be required. Minimal travel required.
