POSITION SUMMARY:
The Knorr Production System Technician will support the Knorr Production System (KPS) strategy for the facility. This position will monitor 5S, shop floor management and kaizen improvements across the business and execute lean principles at the manufacturing site in conjunction with other departments. The Technician will need to coach, mentor, and facilitate within the business to create a culture that embraces 5S, value stream mapping, waste elimination, standardized work, information flow, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Coordinates 5S Events, including invitations, presentations and materials.
- Executes 5S Audits in the campus.
- Manages the 5S Action Log generated after the events.
- Manages and order 5S Materials and Supplies.
- Executes DMS 0,1 and 2 Audits (4).
- Promotes and publishes the KPS Newsletter.
- Develops and maintain the necessary policies, records, documentation, procedures, and practices to achieve the objectives and commitments effectively and efficiently to the organization.
- Organizes teams to implement Kaizen and other improvement activities to ensure they are implemented in a reasonable timeframe.
- Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action regarding safety, health, and environmental concerns.
- Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action regarding product quality.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- College is a plus; high school degree is required.
- At least 3 years of related experience is required.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills working across multiple, locations, all management levels and functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Strong systems and data management skills required.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work well on own with strong planning and organization skills.
- Ability to meet tight, multiple deadlines and handle various projects and tasks.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise and hazards such as electrical shock or gases. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.
