JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Customer Account Manager
Responsibility Detail:
• Responsible for daily coordination and follow up on customer quotes and lead times.
• Responsible for issues related to customer service/pricing agreements (LTPAs).
• Responsible for creation of Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
• Conduct contract review to verify customer purchase order contains correct product information, pricing, payment terms, shipping method and other special requirements.
• Assist customers with expedite requests prior to sales order creation. Manage customer order priorities to expedite critical material.
• Represent customers in production meetings and communicate status of orders to internal and external customers.
• Work with Sales, Field Service, Supply Chain to meet customer commitments.
• Be responsible for warranty and guarantee administration including prevention and identification of potential claims and management of actual claims through voice of the customer.
• Meet team operational goals in the areas order management, invoice disputes and material returns.
• Be responsible for creation of operational process for simplification and improvement purposes as well as the resolution of issues related to any operations processes.
• Understand customer ordering behavior, trends as well as Alstom's performance to on-time delivery with regards to specific customers.
• Review business options for impacts on profit, for compliance with contracts, policies, and procedures, and for innovative ways to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Prepare business and functional assignment summaries, provide input to Items of Interest, and prepare material for presentations.
• Work efficiently with international customers, colleagues and third parties to not delay deliverables
• Acts as back up the customer service team as needed, enter sales orders in SAP and notify customers of schedule changes.
• Meet with customers and channel partners as requested. This may occasionally include travel to the customer site.
Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, proposals, marketing / sales or field service.
• Strong Computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint to support data entry and reporting.
Desired Qualifications:
• SAP knowledge.
• Sales Force Knowledge.
• Sharepoint
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross functional teams
