JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:   Manage environmental, health, safety & security program requirements & initiatives at the Warrensburg, MO location.

 

Work Location:  On-site presence required at the Warrensburg campus with periodical coverage at the Grain Valley, MO location, as required.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead site EHS programs & initiatives to meet site goals, compliance requirements & established timeframes
  • Lead waste management systems
  • Coordinate specific EHS purchasing requirements and budgets
  • Create/coordinate all aspects of the JSA risk evaluation and documentation
  • Manage all EHS management systems (permit to work, management of change, AIM, SDS system, compliance calendar, action tracker, SRAs, SOPs & others) at the Warrensburg site
  • Lead & manage all aspects of an effective site EHS team
  • Perform EHS audits and coordinate all EHS audit programs at the site
  • Maintain site certifications (ISO14001, ISO 45001, OSHA VPP Star, etc.)
  • Lead all site EHS training programs
  • Lead & support a strong safety culture on the campus
  • Maintain EHS content on site communications boards
  • Establish & track functional scorecards and address gaps & continuous improvement opportunities
  • Develop & deploy EHS best practices
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with employees, peers, and management staff
  • Lead site security program and oversee external security staff/activities
  • Lead site Early Intervention Program
  • Support health & medical staff activities, as needed
  • Complete EHS projects & other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an EHS discipline or equivalent EHS work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to meet multiple priorities, simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools (excel, word, power point).
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet deadlines/priorities.
