JOB DESCRIPTION:

Materials Planner Analyst

Role Summary/Purpose: 

To Schedule incoming orders from customer service so production scheduling can see the demand and work to fulfill the orders for the customer

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with Customer Service and Production Scheduling to determine the best dates scheduling Customer Sales Orders that meet both the customer request dates, capacity of production and material availability.  

Working with Customer Service to make changes to existing orders to meet the changing requirements of external customers. 

Responsible for managing material forecasts to ensure ABC On-Time Delivery goals are met. 

Qualification/Requirements: 

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
• 5 years planning/manufacturing/operations experience
• Experience/working knowledge of rail signaling equipment required
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to multi-task very helpful
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills required.
• Demonstrated detail oriented/accuracy required.

Eligibility Requirements: 

Willingness to work across different departments to receive information needed to schedule customer orders at the best possible date to meet customer needs. 

Applicants need to be detailed oriented and have good interpersonal and communication skills

Have a working knowledge of EXCEL and SAP
