JOB DESCRIPTION:

Scope of work: Summer 2026 Internship, Grain Valley Manufacturing Engineering

The intent of this internship is to provide a wide variety of real-world experiences directly in manufacturing supporting the shop floor needs. These experiences involve typical day to day tasks for hands on exposure in manufacturing engineering. Internship will also lead at least one core project to help the business improve (continuous improvement), giving the intern a chance to apply their time management, project management and engineering skills taking a project from concept to completion over the summer.

These key exposures include:

  1. Operators work instructions
  2. Time studies
  3. Work order efficiency reviews and evaluations
  4. Tool selection, calibration and support
  5. Process evaluation and refinement
  6. Daily shop floor tactical needs (Gemba walks, quality issues, 5S needs, etc)
