JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mon -Fri 7 AM - 3 PM or 3 PM - 11 PM + overtime
$20.88/hr
+ $1/hr differential for 2nd shift

General:
Responsible for ensuring products are packaged safely and accurately for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. This role includes inspecting, labeling, sealing, and packing items, as well as operating various equipment and machinery as needed. Workers are expected to perform thorough quality inspections to maintain accuracy and product integrity, while also completing all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Duties

- Operate packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with company standards and customer requirements
- Assist with inventory management as needed

Packaging Workstation:
- Auto Bagger – The worker will enter production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and transport them to the workstation. Based on the production order, parts will be placed into automated bowls that feed items into bags and/or manually fed into bags as required. A first-piece inspection must be completed at the start of each order. Once a full tote of packaged parts is completed, it will be transferred to a pallet box.
- Hand Bagger – The worker will input production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and transport them to the workstation. In accordance with the production order, parts will be packaged manually into bags. A first-piece inspection is required. Completed totes of bagged parts will then be loaded into a pallet box.
- Jones Machine – The worker will enter production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and transport them to the workstation. Based on the production order, parts will be manually placed into boxes supplied via conveyor. A first-piece inspection must be completed. Once a tote is filled, it will be loaded into a pallet box.
- Hand Pack – The worker will input production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and move them to the workstation. Per production order requirements, parts will be manually packed into boxes. A first-piece inspection must be completed. Depending on job specifications, parts may be packed individually or as full totes, then loaded into a pallet box or placed individually on a pallet.
- Taper Line – The worker will enter production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and transport them to the workstation. Parts will be manually packed into boxes according to production order requirements. A first-piece inspection is required. Depending on specifications, parts may be packed individually or as full totes, then loaded into pallet boxes or placed individually on pallets. This role involves higher production volume compared to the Hand Pack position.
- Hoist Line – The worker will input production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and move them to the workstation. Per production order requirements, parts will be manually packed and placed individually onto pallets using a hoist or lift-assist device. A first-piece inspection must be completed.
- Spider – The material handler is responsible for supporting all production areas by supplying raw materials to bagging stations, production lines, and machinery to ensure continuous workflow. This position requires forklift operation and maintaining efficient material flow.
Tools:
Staple gun, shipping tape gun, utility knives, RF scanner computer/software, printers, pallet jack, forklift, and hoist apparatus.
Protective Personal Equipment:
Steel toe shoes, anti-fatigue mats, and anti-cut gloves are optional.
Environment:
The work environment is climate-controlled but can be noisy, with frequent heavy forklift traffic. Workers work collaboratively with others to ensure production is maintained at the required pace throughout the shift.

- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as described in the standardized work instructions
- Must be able to comply with customer requirements (ex. Shipping instructions, packaging requirements, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
