JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Cross dock raw materials received from the Suppliers or the plants. Put away raw material into warehouse and pull raw material when transfer order is received. Follow the import process and perform audits before importing goods. Warehouse liaison for special requests from the plant on northbound or southbound shipments.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the Receiving & Shipping of Inbound & Outbound expedited direct material
  • Support the receipt and export of MRO merchandise to Bendix Acuna operations.
  • Receive & Maintain warehouse organized
  • Perform weekly cycle counts
  • Pick and ship raw materials to Acuna plant
  • Warehouse liaison for special requests from the plant
  • Ship Supplier returnable containers & process transactions in SAP
  • File and maintain “I.T.” files organized and perform monthly audits with Import/Export
  • The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

 

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Reports to plant Warehouse Supervisor
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees.    Co-ops or students may report to this position.

 

Knowledge:

  • Proficient knowledge in Inventory Control and materials management systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing processes and practices for Inventory management
  • Material handling equipment knowledge

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in inventory & warehouse management systems.
  • Experience in SAP & 5S systems
  • Understanding of 8D’s and or problem-solving techniques
  • Visual management and Lean Manufacturing warehouse experience
  • Familiar with I.T & I.E’s and customs documentation & bond warehouse

 

Skills:

  • Self-Starter, Results oriented. Work with little or no supervision
  • Familiar with MRO and Direct Material Export Process
  • Familiar With SAP
  • Keyboarding Skills
  • Forklift
  • Pallet Jack

 

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Bilingual
  • High School Diploma or GED
