POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a part-time paid internship designed to accommodate academic schedules. Hours and duration may vary based on the needs of the department and the intern’s availability. The IT Co‑op supports daily technical operations by maintaining and troubleshooting devices, applications, and enterprise systems while assisting with Windows updates, hardware refreshes, and data reporting. The role also provides hands‑on support for manufacturing environments, including MES platforms and production‑floor hardware, while adhering to all plant safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage and troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices to ensure reliable performance.
- Perform Windows feature updates and support ongoing PC hardware refresh cycles.
- Generate and analyze statistical reports to support operational needs.
- Research and analyze relevant technical topics to recommend improvements.
- Support local IT applications and contribute to project activities.
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise business systems, including SAP and other internal applications.
- Work periodically on the manufacturing floor to support production systems and hardware.
- Follow plant safety requirements while working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Support and troubleshoot Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including platforms such as I/Gear.
- Participate in production floor support activities, troubleshooting devices and applications directly on the line.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or MIS degree program.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
