Position Title: Account Manager 2, National Fleet

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for representing, promoting, and selling all Bendix product lines to mega fleet customers within a defined region. Additionally, the role provides product and technical training in accordance with established field sales and service guidelines. The National Fleet Account Manager (NFAM) serves as a strategic representative of Bendix in the marketplace and requires strong technical aptitude and business acumen within the commercial vehicle industry. This position is also responsible for maintaining CRM/C4C records, completing assigned internal tasks in a timely manner, and supporting Bendix industry activities as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible and accountable for all strategic fleet customer activity within a defined region, including mega fleets with 2,000+ power units for both fleet specification and aftermarket business, as well as dealership activities related to mega fleets.
- Identify and manage strategic relationships with 30-40 fleets annually to drive fleet specification and aftermarket business growth.
- Achieve key performance objectives within established timeframes as outlined in personal performance targets and organizational sales goals.
- Travel 60-70% of the time to customer locations, regional meetings, and industry events.
- Lead sales calls at dealer and fleet customer locations to promote and sell Bendix product lines.
- Support dealer promotions to help promote and sell product lines to fleet customers.
- Consistently call on fleet customers to promote Bendix quality and brand equity.
- Generate interest among fleet customers to purchase and specify Bendix products and systems through regional product demonstrations.
- Develop annual business plans targeting specific growth opportunities within assigned fleets.
- Provide product and sales training to dealers and operator and service training to fleet customers.
- Maintain all customer reporting requirements within the sales management tool (CRM).
Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of the heavy-duty truck industry, including fleets, OEMs, dealerships, suppliers, distribution channels, and trade associations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of organizational sales policies and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Bendix products and their functionality.
- Advanced knowledge of Bendix’s customer base, their businesses, and their operating environments.
- Advanced knowledge of customer relationship management and customer reporting tools.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the heavy-duty truck or automotive industry required.
- ASE certification preferred but not required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business or Engineering; or 10+ years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry or related field with a proven track record of success.
- MBA preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be domiciled within the defined region and located within one hour of a major airport.
- Must be able to travel 60-70% of the time to fleet customers, dealerships, distributors, Bendix headquarters, and trade association events.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work remotely is $89,900–$158,200 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Bendix is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies.
