JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
This is an entry-level role that builds foundational knowledge of our products, customers, and sales processes while supporting the Field Sales team. This position is designed to develop the skills and business acumen needed to progress into a higher-level territory/field sales role.
Essential Functions:
- Provide inside sales support for the North American Territory Account Manager field sales team. This includes collaborating internally with customer service to follow up on orders and shipments and lead times providing timely communication back to the sales team. Support the Field Sales team in the use and troubleshooting of diagnostic tools and systems. Provide first-level technical support and escalate complex issues to appropriate specialists. Communicate status updates to the Field Sales team and relevant stakeholders regarding open-cases and urgent issues.
- Work with the pricing team to assist in the administrative process regarding any special pricing requests including support of Transit bids.
- Also function as the go between for the product group leaders and the field sales team to improve the response time back to the customer from the Field sales team.
- Review customer data utilizing HANA as well as Power BI to assist the field sales team regarding any potential opportunities.
- Assist the field sales team with managing CO OP funds and the administration function. Support distributor and dealer promotions by coordinating materials, communication, and follow‑up activities.
- Assist the field sales team regarding PDP (Premier Distributor Program) updates and sales targets for each customer.
- Provide inside sales regarding truck down orders and help facilitate the timeliness of the shipments and provide tracking information. Track, escalate, and follow up on warranty claims and truck down issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal customer downtime.
- When appropriate support strategic customer activity and assist field sales team supporting customer open houses, training events, etc. Participate in customer calls, meetings, and presentations, both virtually and in person, as appropriate.
- Partner with Account Managers and Regional Sales leadership to support sales initiatives, customer meetings, and account planning activities. Shadow Field Sales team members and participate in customer meetings or calls as part of professional development.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of field quality data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in training and development activities to build sales and technical skills.
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of sales processes, pricing administration, and technical support in the commercial vehicle or heavy-duty industry (training provided).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Willingness to learn diagnostic tools and technical support systems.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, technical support, or related fields.
- Internship or co-op experience in a sales or technical environment is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support multiple Field Sales team members.
- Must maintain an organized work area from a home office that allows for quick and efficient responses to the customer’s needs.
- Very Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint a must
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Technical Field, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel is expected to be minimal initially and will increase as the individual gains experience and assumes greater responsibilities. Must be willing to travel for regional meetings, training, and customer events as needed.
- Willingness to relocate may be required as the role progresses and as business needs and career development opportunities evolve.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Avon, OH is $65,100–$97,700 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Bendix Commercial Vehicle System LLC is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use.
