JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
This position requires a combination of Human Resources (HR) knowledge and technical expertise and is responsible for working closely with the HR and the Information Technology (IT) organization to support HR applications and integrations with the IT landscape.
Responsibilities
- Support and serve as system administrator for business managed applications related to HR, Payroll, and Finance.
- Manage HR-related software implementation projects.
- Ensure all HR-related data is accurately captured.
- Generate HR-related reports as requested.
- Create dashboards and data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Evaluate HR systems to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement process improvement and policy changes to increase efficiencies.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and align technology strategies with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in daily business activities.
- Support management with cross-application solution design concepts, cost, and effort estimates in the project preparation phase.
- Analyze existing systems and interfaces between systems to identify gaps and make recommended improvements.
- Support RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and vendor selection.
- Analyze recurring errors, develop solutions, and communicate with respective teams for implementation and documentation.
- Evaluate new systems, technologies, and tools for potential usage within Knorr-Bremse.
- Ensure regular and comprehensive communication with management representatives, business process owners, and key users.
- Prioritize and manage ticket system based on consideration of deadlines, business needs and IT workload.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Payroll and HR business process with the ability to recognize problems and implement root cause solutions, as well as necessary improvements in the HR systems.
- Knowledge and experience with HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors (preferred), PeopleSoft, Workday, or other comparable Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
- Knowledge and experience with payroll systems such as Dayforce (preferred), ADP, etc.
- Knowledge of HRIT applications and integrations within the cloud and on-premise landscape and technologies.
- Understanding of integration points with other non-SAP HR applications (ex: Payroll, Travel & Expense, time management, benefits, etc.).
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (ex: Agile/Scrum) preferred.
- Basic reporting and SQL knowledge and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, etc.
- Basic programming knowledge and debugging concepts.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years of HRIS experience on full lifecycle implementations, project rollouts, and general support.
- Experience with integration of different HR systems and non-HR Systems (HCM, payroll, time management, benefits, etc.,).
Skills:
- Extremely customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency required.
- Strong problem solving, trouble shooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent English communication skills: presentation, written, and oral.
- Self-starter with ability to execute & manage daily functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully team with software vendors, outsourcing partners, and KB global business and IT associates.
- Collaborate on strategic level with HR, HRIS, and other stakeholders in IT on system landscape development.
- Project management experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or similar field.
- Basic ITIL knowledge a plus.
- Automotive and/or manufacturing industry knowledge a plus.
- Project management certification a plus.
- Greenbelt certification a plus.
Position Requirements:
