JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
In this role you will be responsible to perform engineering analysis, development and implementation of test cases at Component (ECU), System (Vehicle) and Hardware In the Loop (HIL) levels to verify compliance of our designs against requirements, regulations and standards for the next generation of commercial vehicles.
Applicants from outside of Monterrey metro area would have relocation package benefit
Essential Functions:
• Internal and External customers requirement Analysis (e.g. PTC Integrity)
• Development of functional test cases (ECU and System Level)
• Hardware In the Loop modeling (e.g. dSPACE, Matlab and Simulink)
• Supporting Vehicle Level Testing as needed
• Sensor integration to ABS/ESP/TCM functional models
• Integrating hardware/software Design Level test benches (e.g. Real Time modeling)
• Collaboration with global application and design teams
• Support product team(s) in an Agile/SCRUM environment
• Assignments will include control system design, requirements definition, cross-product communication interfaces, product testing, and release.
• Develop and execute technical plans (analysis, simulation, vehicle test) to validate system release and product applications
• Author technical documentation including test reports and customer-facing specifications for installation, calibration, and service of different systems.
• Software / Hardware in the loop testing. Strong in dSPACE development
• Interface with customers, software developers, systems engineers and management to communicate status of projects.
• Willing to travel (test track, customer locations, winter test) as required.
Knowledge:
• Broad automotive and electronic systems knowledge, preferably related to heavy truck.
• Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols including J1939, UDS, and CCP.
• Familiar with CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Matlab, Simulink and Python
• Programming skillset (Embedded & Matlab preferred)
• ECU development lifecycle experience (preferred)
• Basic instrumentation knowledge is necessary (oscilloscope, DMM and wiring).
• Previous experience with HIL (dSPACE or TruckSim) is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.
Experience (Engineer 2):
• Desired 3+ years of experience preferably in vehicle dynamics, or vehicles controls engineering.
• Hands on mechanical, electrical, automotive experience.
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive market is a plus.
• Strong product design experience.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members.
Experience (Engineer 3):
• A minimum of 6 years of experience preferably in vehicle dynamics, or vehicles controls engineering.
• Hands on mechanical, electrical, automotive experience.
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive market is a plus.
• Strong product design experience.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members
• Experience leading and coaching less experienced Engineers
Experience (Engineer 4):
• A minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in vehicle dynamics, or vehicles controls engineering.
• Hands on mechanical, electrical, automotive experience.
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive market is a plus.
• Strong product design experience.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members
• Experience leading and coaching less experienced Engineers and leading projects.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering required
