JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for providing timely and accurate analytical, planning, reporting, and financial decision support to help drive sales performance and achieve business goals and objectives. The individual will become a key team member in supporting the sales team as well as working with the central finance and accounting staff on monthly and quarterly reporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and review sales forecasts and engage with other functions across the business to ensure alignment of actual reporting results and forecast assumptions.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review sales department forecasts providing feedback and driving resolution to discrepancies.
  • Conduct variance analysis and research, providing detailed variance explanations between actual results, budgets, forecasts, and prior period results.
  • Support on month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close results.
  • Prepare various reports and analyses in support of comprehensive understanding of actual reported results.
  • Provide other financial and analytical support as needed based on the business needs and market needs.
  • Drive continuous improvements as it is related to the position and systems, focusing on moving from manual processes to electronic, implementing digitization as needed. 

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of product costing and pricing principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting systems: data warehouses, business transaction warehouse, budgeting and forecasting systems.
  • Manufacturing understanding and knowledge and related systems activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in demand planning with sales and sales forecasting a plus.

Experience:

 

Analyst 1

  • 2+ years of financial experience required.
  • 2+ years of previous ERP experience preferred.
  • SAP Sales & Distribution and FICO Module experience preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or manufacturing environment.
  •  

 

Analyst 2

  • 5+ years of financial experience required.
  • 5+ years of previous ERP experience preferred.
  • SAP Sales & Distribution and FICO Module experience required.
  • Experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or manufacturing environment

Skills:

  • Possesses excellent analytical skills and can utilize the appropriate tools (i.e., excel, system reports, etc.)
  • Strong problem solver, active listener who strives for resolutions, and drives actions and tasks to completion.
  • Ability to establish a professional, credible, and trusting relationship within the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.   
  • Strong systems and data management skills required.
  • Ability to influence and persuade to inspire action to task to be driven to completion.    
  • Initiative-taker who is action oriented, highly motivated, and possesses a strong sense of urgency.  Capable of performing in a customer-focused, team-based matrix organization is essential.
  • Ability to understand and navigate governance, administration, and culture in the internal and external environment, while demonstrating commitment to the organization and its customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, specifically Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and analysis.
  • Fluent in English; Bi-lingual a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related field required
