JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Responsible for participating in the creation of the MOP plan, expense control, internal management reports, balance sheet reviews, internal controls, tax reporting and reconciliation, capital projects planning and tracking & financial analysis, Confianza Payroll Acuña, Monterrey and Mexico City, Social Security to Mexico City and Monterrey, State Taxes for Mexico City

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for monthly and year-end reporting to management and parent company
  • Monthly journal entries for accruals and reversals.
  • Inter-company reporting and analysis
  • Account reconciliations
  • Analysis of costs of sales
  • Mexico tax reporting, reconciliations, and audits
  • Support operations and group finance requests for financial data
  • Participate in and coordinate KPMG Audit.
  • Coordinate Physical Inventory
  • Leading expense control in operations
  • Leading developing and implementing actions to correct financial performance
  • Planning and control of capital expenditures
  • Creation of annual budgets
  • Communicate and Support PSA activities and procedures with team members
  • In charge of the Payroll and Time and Attendance systems
  • Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.
  • As well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

General Ledger

 

Knowledge:

  • General Account
  • Budget preparation and forecast
  • Mexican Taxes
  • Cost accounting systems and techniques.
  • Payroll

Experience:

  • Strong accounting experience with 4+ years experience
  • Exposure to SAP or other financial ERP systems preferred

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail focus on error prevention
  • Total flexibility showing an ability to work with diverse personalities and support multiple priorities
  • Ability to analyze business issues, develop corrective actions and follow through to completion

  • Bilingual 90%
  • Extensive computer skills required

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
