JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for supervising all maintenance operations in the areas of Controls, general or machining functions in the plant to maximize production while adhering to standard safe practices and procedures, environmental and legislative requirements. Maintenance supervisors are involved in organizing and planning regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant. They oversee reviewing and rationalizing preventive maintenance procedures, evaluating and maximizing maintenance procedures in collaboration with other support personnel and staff. They are also responsible of overseeing the activities of maintenance personnel so that they follow the company’s regulations concerning safety procedures thus minimizing personal injury risks, environmental and company asset damage. They should be able to develop maintenance personnel work schedule, work force size and changes in staff composition. They should be able to handle emergencies and adjust work schedules as needed.

 

 Essential Functions:

Oversees maintenance programs and scheduling such as TPM, safety, and SAP PM.

Develops maintenance training programs for all personnel in their areas.

Manages resources and working hours of all maintenance personnel.

Directs and analyzes the work order planning and provide necessary support per work area requirements and procedures.

Communicates with members of the production teams and provide support as required.

Adhere to safe working practices and follow all safety procedures and programs (SAM) as well as PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).

Manages the calibration system for all Testing equipment.

Participates during equipment and cell transfers as well as during product launches.

Supports the development and integration of new production Systems.

Actively participate in KPS events.

Supports the acquisition of new technology for plant development.

Develops personnel in technical and working practices.

Communicates and support all PS Audit activities and procedures with other members of the engineering and production teams.·        

 Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.·         

 Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members·        

 Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required. 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

Maintenance supervisor reports to the plant engineering manager.

Maintenance supervisor is responsible to lead controls engineers, mechanics, technicians, etc. Maybe be responsible to direct or lead MEDP, temporal employees, etc.  

 

 Knowledge:

Posses the ability to supervise skilled workers and wide experience in plant operations.

Have excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations, and ability to motivate maintenance personal under pressure.

Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously, and should be able to generate ideas that can lead to reduction of cost and improvement of work processes.

Should have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. 

 

Experience:

Five years working in the maintenance field. 

 

Skills:

Knowledge and use of complex Tools, electric control Systems, mechanical, and mechatronics, as well as lean manufacturing and Six sigma Tools.

Must have strong programming, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic background.

Posses' exceptional technical skills (electronic, electrical and mechanical), PLC programming and installation, pressure transducers, strain gages, wiring, design and build, and standard electronic test equipment.

Education/Certifications:

BS Degree in Electromechanical engineering or mechatronics.

Six Sigma Greenbelt a plus.
