JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and supporting related software/systems/Apps for the Automation team on Mexico and USA, improve current Automation requirements on new projects by utilizing AI.

Essential Functions:

 

  • Write, debug, and execute source code for new software applications and enhance existing ones, ensuring compatibility with current Bendix systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing, troubleshoot bugs, and implement fixes to ensure applications are error-free and perform optimally
  • Deployment and Updates: Deploy applications to relevant platforms and release regular updates to meet user and client needs
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation of development processes, code, and updates for future reference and improvement
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure applications remain competitive and innovative.
  • Review and apply identify areas of opportunity where AI can be implemented from a continuous improvement point of view.

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, Ignition, C++, Swift or .NET depending on the application type.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate user requirements into functional application features and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with non-technical stakeholders and teamwork within cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and drive decisions

Experience:

 

App developer: 0-2 years of experience on a developing software in an environment for manufacturing industries.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, software development or related fields.
