JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for managing supplier delivery performance and supply risk for an assigned supplier portfolio. This role proactively identifies delivery risks, leads recovery planning, and ensures execution of corrective actions to protect production and customer service levels. This position leads to structured supplier recovery efforts, including on site supplier engagements, capacity validation, and constraint assessment. Individual coordinates cross functional countermeasures with Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Operations, and Logistics to resolve delivery issues and prevent recurrence. This role ensures suppliers comply with contractual requirements, Supplier Business Manual expectations, logistics directives, and internal policies. In addition, the role provides forward looking risk insights during SIOP and other cross functional planning forums, supporting early warning and proactive mitigation. The role prepares and presents supplier KPI dashboards with clear risk assessments, recovery status, and next steps for leadership review. This position also supports supplier lifecycle topics such as onboarding readiness, tooling and capacity alignment, and production ramp ups.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Own supplier on time delivery (OTD) performance for assigned suppliers; lead structured performance and recovery reviews with documented action plans.
  • Proactively identify delivery, capacity, and logistics risks; develop and execute recovery plans to protect production and customer service.
  • Conduct on‑site supplier visits to validate capacity, assess constraints, and confirm feasibility of recovery and ramp‑up plans.
  • Lead cross‑functional recovery actions with Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Operations, and Logistics to resolve supplier delivery issues.
  • Drive supplier compliance with Supplier Business Manual, Terms & Conditions, logistics directives, and internal policies; issue corrective actions as required.
  • Provide forward‑looking supplier risk insights during SIOP and other cross‑functional planning forums.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present supplier KPI dashboards with clear risk assessments, recovery status, and recommended next steps.
  • Support supplier lifecycle activities including onboarding readiness, tooling and capacity alignment, obsolescence management, and production ramp‑ups.
  • Mentor and guide Supplier Integrator I on KPI interpretation, escalation etiquette, and recovery fundamentals.
  • Additional assignments and responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Analytical problem solving; inventory optimization; report interpretation, RCCA.
  • Significant knowledge and execution of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Understanding of data integrity and system alignments, supplier risk management, escalation processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Risk management; negotiation and conflict resolution; project management; advanced H1P/TRP/TAP/Power BI, advanced analytics/reporting.

Experience:

 

  • 5+ years in supply chain/purchasing with supplier-facing responsibilities. Bachelor required; APICS/Lean a plus

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
