JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage assigned category to meet the daily tactical objectives and strategy execution to satisfy the needs of our internal and external customers. Mainly responsible for tracking and resolving all daily activities that come up within each category and drive resolution across all functions. Duties performed under close supervision.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Ensure prices are accurate and up to date in the system at all times.
  • Assist in invoicing and payment issues, ensuring timely resolution of payment and pricing discrepancies and taking corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist Strategic Sourcing Buyers with day-to-day execution of projects and responsibilities.
  • Support the plants with expediting open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of all commodities.
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity in all procurement files.
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ) process.
  • Analyze quotations - assist in obtaining capital appropriations.
  • Support global change management process to ensure timelines are met.

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Understanding of procurement strategies.
  • Strong working knowledge of database & query software.
  • Familiar with product/markets and processes.

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience as a Data Analyst, Accounts Payable, Buyer within a manufacturing-based industry preferred.
  • Prior experience in global procurement organization with usage of SAP preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience and ability to gain proven results.
