YOUR TASKS

  • Sparring partners and "bridge builders" in cooperation with the business units to enable/facilitate the entry/use of digitalization technologies
  • Cocreation of a strategic central advisory unit, which acts as a knowledge sharing and innovation basis for the company
  • Define and track the digitalization initiatives together with the business units, always taking into account the value created for Knorr-Bremse through such initiatives and technologies
  • Create showcases and experiment with the new (for KB) technologies, in close cooperation with KB IT
  • Create showcases (quick and dirty) for departments to eliminate the entry barriers
  • Coordinate and create transparency: applications, value realization, success of change management for users 
  • Collaboraiton in the creation, roll out of a communication concept
  • Fostering dialogue between the Digi team and organizational units
  • Preparation and support of KB IT in the data topics

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, STEM)
  • At least 5 years experience in data analysis, modeling and reporting in a relevant environment - ideally in the industrial / manufacturing sector
  • Eperience in working with SAP
  • Data transformation: Relevant skills in Python for semi/non-structured data and SQL for structured data
  • Programming: Proficiency in Python or R
  • Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing
  • Machine Learning: Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
  • Data Visualization: Ability to create clear visualizations using tools like Matplotlib, Power-BI or other tools
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify business challenges, formulate hypotheses, and propose data-driven solutions
  • Curiosity: A curious mindset to explore data, ask relevant questions, and uncover hidden insights
  • Cooperation: Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and operations
  • Adaptability: Agility to adapt to changing circumstances
